I discovered this today:

Due to my apparently rampant hormones I laughed so much I cried. I NEED a big metal chicken in my life!
p.s We had 2.5 dead birds over the weekend. (I managed to get the cat off of one of them and put it outside. I hope it flew away and she didn't just go out and eat it later.)

A Week in Numbers
Live Mice - 2
Half Eaten Mice - 1
Discarded Mouse Tail - 1
I love my cat. I'm hoping that now that she has mastered capturing and killing that she will eat it outside too and not bring them into the house. The conversation last night went like this:-
Neil: Do you still want a coffee
Me: Yes, please
(He duly goes to the kitchen)
Neil: Eughhhh that's disgusting
(Stomping to the bathroom)
Me: What?
Neil: I just stepped on a dismembered mouse (he was barefoot!)
I watched a very good documentary the other night, not something I do often. I think this is the iplayer link, but I could be wrong!

In Search of a Mountain
Turns out the short courses in art may not be the way forward. I'm still deciding.
My knee has popped out twice in the last week....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
On the plus side I ran approx 4.5k on Saturday which did make my knee sore and tear something in my calf, however, my fitness is much better than I thought it was. Yay!
I'm in a shit mood today. I'm bored people. I need a mountain to climb - I just don't know what sort of mountain I want...or...I'm too scared to make the decision in case it is the wrong one.
I had hoped to try and compete in October so that I would have a goal but I can't because I have a wedding the same day as the competition. There is a 10k I could train for in September but as much as it would be an achievement I'm seriously concerned about f*cking up my knee good and proper.
I started peeling the wallpaper in my kitchen yesterday, I'm going to regret that come the end of this week. I did it in the hope that it would inspire me to keep going with it but I've got so much on during the week that I don't want to spend my whole weekend knee deep in soggy bits of wallpaper. It does need done though. Quite badly. And it will probably look good once its finished. Maybe that should be my 'hill' for the moment.
This is the least interesting post ever. Oh well. No one reads it anyway so I suppose it doesn't matter. I thought we were going to get some mouse hoovering action the other night but it wasn't to be.
I am currently contemplating the purchase of something chocolatey. It has to be done. It's Monday after all. What else is there to do? Apart from the pile of work that is sitting on my desk of course...

Hello again
I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy soaking in a hot tub in the Highlands and generally not doing very much.
Time to get back to it though, so in an attempt to brighten my own day I decided I should write something. Yesterday I was looking at Art short courses. I should have done Art when I left school but I didn't. I am going to change that now. I need to find £295 before October so that I can enrol and go to Art School on a Saturday morning to create a portfolio. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the portfolio yet but I've always wanted one so maybe this will put me in the right direction.
I was gifted some mini Lindt easter eggs this morning. So far I've eaten three and they just won't stop calling my name!
This evening I have a Quiz Night to attend in order to raise funds for a local charity. We have managed to sell quite a few tickets so hopefully it will be a good turn out.
I have nothing interesting to say today so I'm going to leave it at that!
Oh, I did however have my first NLP session at the weekend to help me get over my fear of my dodgy knee. I'll let you know how that pans out - so far tapping on my good knee seems to be helping!

Jesus Sandals
I have a dilemma.
I want to buy nice, pretty shoes but I have to wear Orthotics which means I can only wear something which is closed at the back and has a strap to keep the shoe on my foot.
The dilemma is that I didn't wear Orthotics until last year and therefore CAN actually wear said nice, pretty shoes but this will no doubt screw up my alignment. I know this because I wore flip flops for a whole weekend and managed to twist my knee getting in the car.
I CANNOT for the life of me find attractive shoes that fit the bill!! I could become a shoemaker but presumably it would take some time to master that particular craft. I could design some shoes and have someone make them but I'm pretty sure that will cost the earth.
What's a girl to do, I ask you?
I love shoes and now I can't wear them I want them all the more! I should in theory love my knee more as it actually keeps me upright (when its not dislocating itself) but knees are not really very attractive things, are they?
On the plus side, I am having Lasagne and garlic bread for supper - WOOOOOO!

I Hate Mondays (In whatever form, I know it is actually Tuesday)
I need some motivation. Lots of it.
I climbed a mountain on Friday but today I can't even be bothered walking to the shop. Its ridiculous.
The mountain was good though - 3,789feet under my belt! I almost couldn't make it out of the car and into the house my legs seized up so badly but it was worth it, even if I did burn my lips in the sun!

Anyway, I suppose I should get on and do some work - roll on the weekend!

Seagulls and Sirens
Tomorrow I will be getting up very early to enjoy the sounds of my glorious city...
I will be weight training at 7am followed by a breakfast en route to Lochnagar where I will conquer my first Munro (or Marilyn according to Wikipedia!)
At the moment though, all I can think about is what to pack for lunch and how much I'm going to enjoy the Fish & Chips (or Steak Pie, I haven't quite decided) and pint of Guinness on the way home!
Tonight is going to be BUSY with training and getting organised for mountain climbing!
Wish me luck!
